Welcome to Lulu Pottery, a Bozeman-based studio led by Laura Viren, an accomplished artist with over 20 years of experience in wheel-thrown ceramics.
We’re thrilled to share that our new showroom is opening soon! This change means we’re moving away from online sales to offer you a more personal, in-person experience. We can’t wait to welcome you and show you everything we’ve been working on. Stay tuned for more details!

I’m driven by my passion for clay and its complexities. I love the delicate features of porcelain and its infinite possibilities. Each piece begins as a blank canvas, and throughout its making, tells its own unique story. I believe those who are drawn to ceramics are seeking an experience. Functional art is tangible. Its very existence waits for us to give it life and purpose. With technology so abundant, I love making functional art that can be enjoyed and experienced everyday, and strive to create beautiful, timeless, and durable wares using simple tools and a strong passion. My hope is that you enjoy using your Lulu Pottery as much as I enjoyed making it.
Porcelain clay provides clean lines and endless versatility. Each piece is fired in the kiln to 2230℉ resulting in vitrified, food safe, and dishwasher safe porcelain wares. Lulu Pottery is microwavable, unless the piece has 22k gold accents. I work with the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT to source all materials locally.
Unique, beautiful and durable. I use my pottery mug from Lulu Pottery daily and I love it. This is my go-to mug for coffee, tea or ice cream, sometimes all in one day. I enjoy the shape and the gorgeous colors. Dishwasher safe is a big plus.

I got my giraffe artist collab mug last fall, and I love seeing him sticking his tounge out at e every time I open the cupboard. Your morning coffee tastes better in one of these lovely-to-hold mugs, for sure! Thanks Laura.

“I can speak forever about how amazingly talented and authentic Laura is and it shines through in her pottery. She pours her heart and soul into every piece she makes... and I would dare say my coffee tastes better because of it!
